freshOps

The heart of the freshOps Tag is an NFC Micro Chip.

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a set of short-range wireless technologies, typically requiring a distance of 4cm or less to initiate a connection. NFC allows you to share small payloads of data between our freshOps Tags and your Team's freshOps Mobile Application.

NFC is now a common technology, you may have seen others Tapping their phone to pay for things, Tap & Pay is using NFC technology.

The NFC Chip is baked into the freshOps tags.

freshOps tags can be used for Time & Attendance Records as well as Task Verification Waypoints. So they may be installed in lots of unusual locations.

However, they MUST NOT be installed on Metallic Surfaces.

Metal Surfaces will interfere with the wireless communication between the mobile app and the tag.

If the Tag has been installed on a metal surface, the metal will be interfering with the microchip inside the freshOps Tag that allows you to Check-In via NFC. We provide detailed installation instructions to your employer/supervisor but unfortunately, by the sounds of it, these have been ignored or the tag was mistakenly installed on a metal surface.

Please contact your employer and advise them of so. They will need to replace the Tag and reinstall on a non-metallic surface. While this is organised, change the Verification Type to GPS in the interim.

Tags can be installed Outside (Completely Weatherproof) or Inside. Our suggestion is as close as possible to where your team commences their shift. So by the front door, in the cleaners rooms, staff room etc.

Ideally, the Entry Glass Door or Glass will be the most suitable location.

In instances when adhesion onto non-metallic surfaces isn't possible, we do have Special Ferrite Backed freshOps Tags available by special order. If you do require these please email support@freshops.com.au

We can design Custom Branded Tags with your company logo on them and have them created and encoded for you and your business.

All our Custom Branded Tags automatically come with a Special Ferrite Backing and can be placed on any suitable surface that enables solid adhesion.
