Near field communication (NFC) is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into proximity, usually no more than a few inches.

Most modern Android Phones have NFC. Not too dissimilar to Bluetooth or WIFI, NFC is located in your Connections Settings.

Once NFC Enabled, Employees can Check In & Out of a site by simply placing the back of the Mobile Phones NEAR the freshOps Tag. (Usually within 1 - 2cm)

We suggest they place their phone directly against the Tag, to ensure a good connection.

The benefit of using NFC for Android users is that NFC can't be gamed. As in, each NFC Tag has a 26 string number assigned to it, which communicates directly with the Mobile Phone. This communication string can't be replicated or intercepted.

So as long as you are 100% certain that the freshOps Tag is at the Client Site, freshOps can 100% guarantee that the Time & Attendance Record is a perfect reflection of your Team arriving and leaving site.

To help check the Tag is still onsite, we also provide you with a GPS Pin of where the CheckIn

Upon hovering over the GPS Pin Symbol with your mouse a Pop Up will surface the GPS Location like below.

Now, we can check to see if your Team Member was exactly where the Tag was placed when they were checking or checking out

Note: Android Users who do not have NFC Technology or those without NFC Enabled, will be prompted to Checkin by Scanning the QR Code on the front of the freshOps Tag. For info about this method of CheckIn visit QR Codes.
